UP was thrilled to have Jan Turner join us today for our Day 4 of our Return-to-work Week for Women featuring Banking, Insurance and FinTECH. Jan participation included sharing drivers for growth, in-demand skills and her entity's goals for diversity and family friendliness.
Jan leads Web & Marketing Operations for Travelers’ Personal Insurance Direct Markets business. Prior, she led the Enterprise Market Research team along with Enterprise Marketing Operations at Travelers.
Before rejoining Travelers in 2012, she was Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Strategy for Citi's student lending business, where she also managed direct to consumer distribution and product management and led the successful sale and integration planning processes for this $42 billion subsidiary. Previously, she held roles of increasing responsibility in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Citi and Travelers.
Jan serves on United Way Women United’s Leadership Council and is a member of the Connecticut Women's Council.
She holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from Duke University.
She is a passionate artist, music fan and philanthropist and lives in Avon, CT with her husband, John, and two children.
