As I sit here, reflecting on the past few months, I am filled with a sense of pride and fulfillment for the unforgettable internship experience I have had with Untapped Potential - an organization that advances business and reignites careers. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in Business Analytics at the University of New Haven. I hold a bachelor's degree in computer science and information technology, which has given me a solid foundation in the field. It has been an incredible journey, and I am excited to share some highlights of my time at the company, where I had the opportunity to contribute to various projects and learn valuable skills.
One of the key responsibilities I had during my internship was data cleansing and manipulation. It might sound mundane to some, but I quickly learned its critical role in the company's overall success. Working alongside the founder, I had the chance to refine my data analysis skills, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's databases. This experience taught me the importance of attention to detail and the impact that clean data can have on making informed business decisions. The second part of my work duties involved enhancing the company's website and working on the backend. This included integration with external systems and partners. I have learned new tools to leverage the company's website. As my internship progressed, I was entrusted with a more challenging task – rebuilding the company's website on a new platform. During my internship, I had the privilege of gaining valuable experiences that went beyond the boundaries of my workstation. Attending weekly team meetings, events and working closely with different partners allowed me to understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration within an organization. Participating in networking events with diverse professionals not only expanded my horizons but also provided me with valuable insights into the significance of networking for career prospects. Interacting with people from various backgrounds and industries allowed me to grasp the true power of networking and its impact on one's professional growth and opportunities. This exchange of knowledge and creativity was instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
