At Untapped Potential, we want you to network outside your 'mom circle'. The Dashaway Luncheon, put on by The Boys & Girl's Club of Hartford, has been a terrific opportunity to network with those in industry while giving back and supporting the SMART Girl's program.
UP encourages the empowerment of girls of all ages. The SMART Girls Program helps Club girls build self-esteem and a sense of self-worth as they learn about decision-making, nutrition and health, and building positive relationship with peer and adults. The program is a health, life skills and empowerment program for girls ages 8 to 18.
You’ll hear from keynote speaker, Dr. Joanne Berger-Sweeney, president of Trinity College and hear the inspiring story of Ma’Layasia Thomson, the Clubs’ SMART Girl of the Year.
This year marks the 160th anniversary of the founding of the nation’s first Club – the Dashaway Club - Founded by four Hartford women in 1860.
