We're excited to host Lisa Alvarez-Calderón, CHRO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as the Event's speaker. She'll inspire Returners and Mentors alike to tap into their potential in 2021!
Lisa leads the human resources team of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She is responsible for developing and retaining an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workforce.
Lisa’s diverse industry experience includes academia, natural resources, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. She has more than 25 years of broad HR experience as a strategic business partner working on talent, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion with large organizations across the world.
Lisa has supported UP since its inception and currently serves as an Advisory Council Member.
“I am passionate about improving inclusion and advancing women as leaders in the workplace. Untapped Potential’s work is critical in advocating for the value of returners with local growth companies. Having grown up in Connecticut, I am excited to see UP expand its reach in Connecticut and beyond,” shared Alvarez-Calderón.
Lisa will share her own pivot in 2020 as well as her perspective on workplace change and the skills and attributes that will be highly valued in the future.
