#POP24 was fantastic and with keynote legend Rita Moreno, we heard an inspiring message of resilience.
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut highlighted their valuable mission with this fabulous Event!
What will you be doing at 92?
#POP24 is a critical event that supports the financial empowerment of local women and their families.
It was a great opportunity to hear the legendary #RitaMoreno speak. She brings a unique perspective through her life of incredible achievements (EGOT Winner) - all in the face of adversity. At 92, she inspires us as we embark on our career-life success journeys. (Sidebar- there are 40 to 50 more to go!)
Amber Diaz of NBC Connecticut created a comfortable conversation where we all felt we were chatting with Rita. Rita shared her ideas for the future with us. I am all for her grand vision for UnitedWay’s bus filled with career clothing that drives to those in need!
Thank you to United Way Members and Leadership. I continue to be impressed by what can be achieved by bringing women together! The Power of the Purse is well-named!
#1000 attendees and nearly $400K raised! 👏 Co-chairs, Juliene Phelan and Tisa Rabun-Marshal, you did it!👏
A big shout out to our tremendous industry mentors who ‘worked the room’ on behalf of Untapped Potential Candidates navigating their #returntowork. Women seeking to return to their caliber or pivot to their potential were well supported at this #networking Event. See all the Mentors joining in to make intro's and learn more about our talent.
Untapped Potential Mentor, Irene Bassock, shared her WHY from the stage. She spoke of "Why becoming a Member of Woman of Tocqueville felt timely and necessary." Janis Turner welcomed returners and mentors alike as a Table Captain and at Traveler's Diversity Equity and Inclusion Table. Erica Dean of Comcast, you should be proud of your 10 years contributing, growing, and leading Women United! Jennifer Shanley and Judy Casperson, what a duo! Can’t wait to see where you take the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut!
